A PRIMARY school has installed a defibrillator on their grounds as they build up new relationships with the community.

Cawthorne Primary School – with the help of the Parish Council, Yorkshire Health and Safety Services and Infinite Fire and Security – have placed the new defibrillator at the front of the school.

At an assembly, staff and students celebrated the work that had been done, which they hope exhibits the school’s values of friendship, compassion and respect.

Headteacher Adam Bramall said: “Our defibrillator is live and ready to be used. Already, it has been taken twice in emergencies but thankfully has not been needed to be used.

“It is fabulous that our Parish Council and local businesses have helped us to provide this life saving equipment so that we can offer hope in times of need.”
